Fees

The system operator of the Estonian guarantees of origin system is the transmission system operator which issues guarantees of origin in Estonia. Pursuant to subsection 2 of § 32¹⁰ of the Energy Sector Organisation Act, the system operator has the right to charge fees for transactions carried out with guarantees of origin.

From 1 May 2022, fees for transactions with guarantees of origin are established as follows:

Export of a guarantee of origin 0,026 €/MWh

Import of a guarantee of origin 0,026 €/MWh

Value-added tax (VAT) shall be added to the fees.

Tasule lisandub käibemaks. Invoices are issued at the beginning of the month following the relevant quarter, based on the number of transactions carried out during the preceding quarter.

No fee is charged to open an account when joining the electronic database of guarantees of origin.

No fee is charged to issue, cancel and transfer a guarantee of origin between accounts in the Estonian electronic database of guarantees of origin.
