Registration
A supplier/trader is a market participant who carries out transfers and cancellation transactions with guarantees of origin.
Transactions related to the transfer and cancellation of electricity guarantees of origin are carried out in the guarantees of origin register within the Renewable Energy Information System.
Transactions related to the transfers and cancellations of guarantees of origin are performed via an account opened in the register. To open an account, the application for opening a supplier account for guarantees of origin enclosed hereto must be filled in and signed and submitted to the following email address: go@elextra.ee.
If the market participant is not registered in Estonia, a completed know-your-customer questionnaire must be added to the application.
By signing the application the market participant confirms that they have read and agree to the Standard Terms and Conditions for the Use of Guarantees of Origin of Electricity.
The Standard Terms and Conditions for the Use of Guarantees of Origin of Electricity have been amended. The updated Terms and Conditions apply as of August 2025 and are available as an attachment.
Producer’s account holders can also open a trader’s account if they wish to cancel guarantees of origin.
Opening a guarantees of origin account. and transfers within the register are free of charge. Fees apply to inter-registry transactions. Further details regarding the fees are available here.
