Cross-border transfer

A guarantee of origin can only be transferred electronically between different accounts within the register.

The transfer of biomethane guarantees of origin via the centralized electronic register of the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB hub), which connects issuing authorities, is currently under development. At present, cross-border transfer requests are processed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the applicable rules and solutions of the foreign country.

The Estonian guarantee of origin system administrator is not responsible for the actions of administrators of guarantee of origin systems in other countries, including situations where the administrator of a foreign guarantee of origin register does not accept transfers or valid guarantees of origin.
